GALLERY UNDER MAIN is pleased to announce the opening of “Sports Illustrated” a new exhibition featuring the work of Gabe Chiarello, opening March 20th and running through May 15th at the gallery’s space in High Bridge, NJ

Gabe Chiarello, a visual artist and multi-instrumentalist making work from his home studio in western New Jersey. His practice invites audiences of all ages to engage with art through

wonder and humor. His newest collection of work entitled "SPORTS ILLUSTRATED" tackles the strategy and lighter side of sports. His work is a mix of mediums in painting, collage, and

illustration.

An opening reception will take place on Friday March 20th from 6:00pm-10:00pm, where guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist(s), view the exhibition, and enjoy light

refreshments. The event is free and open to the public. Compositionally, there’s a lot to mine from sports as subject: motion, form, angles, direction, color, etc. It just kind of happened, and I let the work dictate the work and follow it wherever it takes me. Next week it could be, and probably will be, something totally different, but as of right now SPORTS it is!
